2026 年 8 月，蒔美牙醫集團由醫師、牙技師與專業諮詢師組成跨領域臨床團隊，再度受邀前往瑞士 EMS 原廠總部、Swiss Dental Academy 瑞士牙科學院，以及當地 GBT 認證示範診所進行專業研習。此次研習聚焦於 Guided Biofilm Therapy 引導式生物膜治療的臨床應用、器械操作與照護流程，從技術發展到實際診療，進一步理解 GBT 如何將預防照護落實於日常口腔治療之中。
In August 2026, a multidisciplinary clinical team from Smile Dental Group—comprising dentists, dental technicians, and treatment coordinators—was once again invited to Switzerland. The team visited the global headquarters of EMS, the Swiss Dental Academy, and local certified GBT demonstration clinics for advanced training. This intensive program focused on the clinical applications, instrumentation, and care workflows of Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), deepening our understanding of how GBT seamlessly integrates preventive care into everyday dental treatment.

此次研習期間，蒔美團隊實際走訪 EMS 總部研發與技術展示中心，並於 Swiss Dental Academy 培訓基地與原廠專業團隊交流，同時全程觀摩 GBT 標準化臨床示範及當地認證診所的實際操作。從口腔與牙周評估、菌斑顯示，到不同牙周狀況、植牙維護與器械選擇，重新檢視每一個臨床環節的判斷依據與操作標準。
During this training, the Smile Dental team explored the R&D and tech demonstration centers at EMS headquarters, engaged directly with specialists at the Swiss Dental Academy, and observed standardized clinical demonstrations in certified local practices. From comprehensive oral and periodontal evaluations to plaque disclosing, instrument selection, and customized protocols for implant maintenance and varying periodontal conditions, every clinical decision and operating standard was carefully re-examined.
從「清除牙結石」走向「管理生物膜」
Shifting the Mindset: From "Tartar Removal" to "Biofilm Management"
許多人對定期潔牙的理解，仍停留在將累積的牙結石清除乾淨。然而現代預防牙科所關注的，不只是已經形成的牙結石，還包括附著於牙齒表面、牙齦邊緣及牙縫間，肉眼不容易察覺的牙菌斑生物膜。當生物膜長期累積，會持續對牙齦與牙周組織形成刺激，與蛀牙、牙齦發炎及牙周疾病等問題密切相關；對植牙患者而言，植體周圍的菌斑控制，同樣是長期維護的重要環節。
Many people still view routine dental cleanings simply as removing built-up tartar (calculus). However, modern preventive dentistry looks beyond hardened deposits to focus on dental plaque biofilm—an invisible microbial layer adhering to tooth surfaces, gumlines, and tight spaces between teeth. Left unmanaged, biofilm continuously irritates gum and periodontal tissue, serving as a primary contributor to tooth decay, gingivitis, and periodontitis. For implant patients, controlling peri-implant biofilm is equally vital for long-term implant success.

This marks a key philosophy shift between GBT and traditional cleanings. GBT first uses a specialized disclosing agent to make the invisible biofilm visible. Based on each patient's specific dental, periodontal, and implant conditions, treatment is delivered using advanced modalities like AIRFLOW®, PERIOFLOW®, and PIEZON® PS. Once target areas are clearly visualized, care becomes highly targeted and evidence-based—not only removing calculus, but proactively managing biofilm to minimize long-term bacterial impact on oral health.
